Navratri in Pudokadaid

Pudokadai is a village in Kerala, where my mother was born, and my grandmother’s family lived  many years before the family shifted to Bombay, now Mumbai. Navratri is a celebrity  in a grand way. The famous Navaratri  pulinkari is prepared daily.  My family  went to Pudokadai yesterday and had the divine darsan of Ma Annapoorna.

Navaratri 2024

Wearing a specific colour during Navratri is considered auspicious, as each day has a distinct link and significant spiritual meaning.

Each of the 9 colours of Navratri corresponds to a different form of Goddess Durga, symbolising virtues like strength, tranquillity, and devotion. By adorning these colours, devotees pay tribute to the goddess and celebrate her divine feminine energy, which overcomes darkness and brings forth light and positivity

Favourite time.

What’s your favorite time of day?

There are two times in the day. First is dinner time when the family sits together. The 2nd time after 10pm. That is the time when everyone goes to sleep and I watch T. V, News channel or hindi, Tamil, Malayalam channel. Movie or series.
