One to Kashmir, one to Srilanka.
What’s the story behind your nickname?
My nickname is atha. The story behind , I have a brother who is younger than me. In South Indian elder sister’s are akka. But when my brother started talking he couldn’t pronounced akka and it became atha, this is how I got my nick name. So even now my uncle and mostly every one in father’s, call atha.


What are your future travel plans?
One is Amarnath Temple in Jummu and Kashmir. The other one is the Kataragama temple in Srilanka.

What would you change about modern society?
To the children of today,to give Quality time in between their busy schedule to the elders at home.



What do you listen to while you work?
Carnatic music, bhajans,old hindi movie songs. FM radio

What foods would you like to make?
All sorts of vegetarian cuisine especially Palakkad cuisine, North- India cuisine.
Dogs or cats?
Both. At my cousin’s home.

Describe your most memorable vacation.
Vacation with my family when my children were small. Europe and Disneyland trip.





On what subject(s) are you an authority?
When I was in Dubai,there were two places where I joined as a normal member and later I was elected into the committee. One was the Tamil Ladies Association and the other one The Sathya Sai center.
Tamil Ladies Association where we have to organize monthly culture events. We had about 70+ members. It was organize for the family, only the membership was in the ladies name.
The Sai centre is a spiritual organisation where we had weekly bhajans. This is the place I got my inspiration to cook.There were special occasions where we used to distribute food in the labour camp. The number was 100th Plus. First you don’t know how much grocery or vegetables to buy. Slowly I learned it with a person named Ramji,who i considered as my brother who helped in purchasing the right quantity.I can go on writing,it is a never ending story.
